Fiverr
Good morning,
Must tell you about my latest venture. I have joined the super company of FIVERR.
It is an organisation that lets you buy or sell anything for just that a fiver.
Five dollars if an American commission and five pounds if an English one.
A number of folk were advertising their voices to do voice overs for various text. I have an educated, elocution tutored voice, and have joined the happy throng.
Today I have my first commission, and feel very excited.
Have a great Sunday.

Part of the 1st,paragraph of my new novel The Liberty Bodice.
The Liberty Bodice
Chapter One
New beginnings
My thoughts turn to the time I was born. The year was 1922; it was winter and not so long after the end of the First World War. Mum told me later how bitterly cold it was.
“As cold as a psychopath’s heart, that it was on the day you were born,

Great news
I am having my first novel 'Figs,Vines and Roses' an eread by Joy M. Lilley shown on the authors listings at the
London International Book fair 2015.
This is so exciting.
Another piece of good news is that I have secured a Traditional publisher for my 2nd novel 'The Liberty Bodice.'

The Second Eye
No it's not the title of my latest book, but the left eye cataract operation.
Not quite so good as the first, I should have asked for another anaesthetic eye drop. This of course is our prerogative as a patient.
When working as a nurse in the colposcopy unit. I'm always amazed at how little people who have agreed to have the procedure don't ask for more anaesthetic, or stop the process and ask for a general one instead.
Perhaps that's down to the British stiff upper lip.
Good news is that the effect is immediate and how amazing is that!

Good evening,
Auntie Peggy is getting along quite well.
Now I must share the difficulty I am having in finding a traditional publisher.
All the tales of how hard it is are true, believe me.
There are numerous amounts of Vanity press after my book, with stories of how good it is to spend between £500-- and £5000 with them.
At times it makes you feel quite downhearted. But I shall continue to try.
If there are publishers out there who happen to read this,do get in touch. joygerken@yahoo.co.uk

Latest post
My sister and I could not believe it when we visited Auntie Peggy on Sunday.
She had been brought downstairs to play bingo, along with the other elderly patients.
She still looks frail and the staff said that she was indeed still very ill, but what a wonderful surprise.
Long may she thrive and survive.
